Founded in 1999, the Bilingual European School in Milan is Milan's first bilingual school. It shares a Milan campus with British American Pre-School, BAPS, and serves ages 2 to 18, offering English preschool and a bilingual BES. The curriculum combines MIUR requirements with the IB PYP in Primary and a MIUR-aligned Secondary program with a 50/50 language split. In Primary, the PYP uses six transdisciplinary themes, with about 15 hours of English per week. In Secondary, the Learner Profile and international outlook mirror IB, with Project Work on Wednesdays. BES High School offers a four-year bilingual Liceo Scientifico with Italian parity and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), enabling a double diploma; online courses can earn extra OSSD credits. Facilities include 4,500 m2 garden, Knowledge Centre, 1+1 Lab with 3D printer, LEGO Lab and spacious School Gym. Extracurriculars span academics, arts, languages and sport activities, with a school bus service.
