Canadian College Italy is a university-preparatory, co-educational boarding high school located in Lanciano, Abruzzo. It has been operating in Italy since 1995. CCI debuted among Europe's private schools as the first Canadian private high school in Italy to offer an independent program. The school operates under the supervision of the Ontario Ministry of Education and prepares students for entrance into universities in the USA, the UK, Canada and Europe. It has received Ontario credit-granting authority since its founding in 1995.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is offered with CCI as an official provider. Remembrance Day ceremonies are observed, including events at the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery in Ortona. CCI students participate in field trips and experiences, including Pompeii, Sorrento and Amalfi, and day trips to Rome, as well as rope-course adventures at Majella. Charity initiatives are part of student life, such as bake sales organized by the Charity Committee.
Canadian College Italy is a university-preparatory, co-educational boarding high school in Lanciano, Abruzzo. The school delivers an Ontario Ministry of Education–supervised high school curriculum taught in English, with Italian language taught by a native Italian teacher. It serves Grades 9–12 and offers enrollment for a single semester or up to four academic years. Eighty percent of teaching staff come from Ontario, and the teacher–student ratio is 1:12. Graduates earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, and the program has Ontario credit-granting authority since 1995. The campus occupies a 14th‑century palazzo on Via Cavour, featuring a central atrium, an Art room, a science lab and a library/study area. Boarding life is organized in Cuore residence for girls, and Allegria and Palazzo de Giorgio for boys. The program supports university placements worldwide and provides access to outdoor activities, including hiking and winter skiing, plus a scuba certification program after a year of dives.
