Facilities Overview

The school is located in a modern, centrally located building in Genoa. It is equipped with science labs, an up-to-date library, two computer laboratories, a lunch cafeteria, an online class register, and lockers for students. All classrooms have interactive multimedia boards or access to overhead projectors. The MYP Junior Science Lab is new and fully operational since September 2013, designed for maximum student participation with two central work-stations and two additional 3-metre work-tops for a wide range of experiments. Physics, Biology and Chemistry laboratories, gyms and an auditorium exist (in collaboration with Duchessa di Galliera). Upon request, a bus service is available for elementary and middle school students.

Sports Facilities

Gyms are available for physical education. The school includes a gymnasium to support PE and an auditorium for indoor events and gatherings.

Academic Facilities

The school offers the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. It has physics, biology and chemistry laboratories, a dedicated new MYP Junior Science Lab, and additional science facilities. The building houses an up-to-date library, two computer laboratories, an online class register, and student lockers. Classrooms are equipped with interactive multimedia boards or overhead projectors.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Service and CAS activities are part of the program. The DISMUN club provides Model United Nations experiences. Events include the Primary School Exhibition and the MYP Personal Project Exhibition. A university and career counsellor is available to students.

Deledda International School in Genoa, Italy, offers the International Baccalaureate continuum alongside Cambridge Secondary. The Primary Years Programme is in candidate status, while the MYP and DP provide IB experience across eight subject groups, including Language and Literature with Italian A and English A, and Language Acquisition in Italian B, English B, and several other languages. Each subject group receives at least 50 hours of instruction annually, and MYP Year 5 culminates in a Personal Project. ATL and ATT frameworks support learning across all IB stages, fostering communication, collaboration, self-management, critical and creative thinking, and intercultural understanding. The campus in central Genoa features science laboratories, a modern library, two computer laboratories, and interactive classrooms, with MYP Junior Science Lab added in 2013. The school runs service and CAS initiatives, a Model United Nations club, and exhibitions, plus a university and career counselor, and a bilingual elementary program started in 2016.
