Enrollment is possible at any time during the school year, subject to class availability and the student meeting admission criteria. The standard enrolment period, with a priority window for current students to confirm their places in the following year, runs between December and January in the year before enrolment. For the 2024/25 academic year, registration is normally completed from December 2023 to January 2024; after this period, the Registration Fee increases. The enrolment process must be completed online through the enrolment platform and all relevant information and documentation uploaded. PYP admissions (Early Years Unit and Elementary) occur throughout the school year or until classes reach maximum capacity, provided that all required documentation is submitted, a trial day is successful, and the school can meet the child's needs. To join the Honey Bees nursery class, a child must be toilet trained and 3 years old by December 31 of the entry year. All MYP and DP applicants are assessed on four English language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) to determine whether the applicant can access the curriculum without English language barriers. MYP1-2-3 require minimum CEFR levels of B1/B2, and DP1 requires C1; MYP4-5 applicants are additionally assessed in Mathematics and Sciences. Applicants sit entrance exams and are interviewed by the Head of Programmes or Coordinators, and sometimes a presentation video is requested; the interview assesses the student's background and motivation. Pre-enrolment is available upon request and requires a deposit of €100 (PYP) or €200 (MYP/DP), which is deducted from the Registration Fee; pre-enrolment does not guarantee a place. Grade placement follows birth date for EYU/Elementary (PYP) and is determined by date of birth and prior schooling for MYP; DP placement requires at least 10 years of education with passing marks (Italian high school backgrounds may total 11 years in a 13-year system). Required documents include a copy of the child's passport or ID, school reports for the most recent two years (in English or Italian), a list of allergies/medical/dietary needs, and copies of educational/psychological testing results if applicable, with disclosure of any special needs or prior educational support at the time of application. A language assessment is required; new to English pupils admitted to PYP are accepted regardless of English level, and a fee-based English Language Support program may be required for first-year Elementary entrants. Language Support costs €2,500 for the entire year in PYP and MYP1-3, and €2,000 if needed for a second year.
