ICS Milan offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Preschool to Year 6, and is a candidate IB World School for the Diploma Programme, with the Liceo providing IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. Italian language and culture are integrated with national standards within the curriculum. The approach is transdisciplinary and inquiry-based, aiming to develop internationally minded, confident learners.
Arts are embedded in the timetable, with Arts (Art and Design, Music and Drama) taught in Primary. Kindergarten includes specialist sessions in the Arts, Music, and a Chinese language focus, alongside swimming and PE. The ICS Plus After School programme offers courses in theatre, band and a student newsroom for broader artistic and creative experiences. Students can engage with the ICS Insights student newspaper.
Italian Language is taught in Primary (4 sessions per week) alongside English (5 sessions) and Mathematics taught in English, with Social Studies delivered in English and Italian. The curriculum integrates Italian language and culture within the national framework. In Kindergarten, learning is in English with a multilingual staff and specialist sessions including Chinese.
The After School Programme features courses across arts, languages, science, sport and technology, designed to complement the academic curriculum and build creativity, critical thinking and collaboration. ICS Milan School is a Milan-based day school offering an IB World School program (MYP) and recognised as a paritaria school by the Italian Ministry of Education. The school serves ages 1–18 across three campuses: Symbiosis (ages 5–18 on a 10,000 m² site with about 6,000 m² outdoor space), Colletta (Nursery–Primary, 1,600 m², with a 15 × 6 m pool and two playgrounds) and Tenca (Nursery–Primary, 2,600 m² with dedicated spaces, Early Years playground, indoor gym and lunchroom). Curriculum begins with EYFS in Nursery, then the IB Primary Years Programme for Preschool–Year 6 with Italian language and culture integrated.
