ISD Rome was founded more than 60 years ago by the Roman Congregation of Saint-Dominique to provide Rome and the world with a rigorous and demanding Dominican education, while guiding students with kindness on a journey of openness to the world and integral human development. The school, part of the Odyssey Education group, is accredited by the French Ministry of Education and recognized as a partner school of AEFE. Inspired by Dominican tradition, ISD Rome offers a multilingual education from early years through high school. This enduring mission is reflected in the programs and initiatives IISD has put in place over 60 years in service of its students and families.
ISD Rome is a close-knit community that includes current students across all levels, including boarding students such as Jeanne (boarding student in 6th grade) and Sofia (11th grade). The school maintains a dynamic network through its alumni, who are active around the world and pursue diverse paths, enriched by ISD's values and academic excellence. An alumni association was established in June 2011 to build a network of former students, parents, and teachers and to foster ongoing connections through mentoring, events, and opportunities. Alumni work in fields such as diplomacy, entrepreneurship, research, the arts, and high-level sports.
The Parents Association (APE) represents the interests of parents within the Institute International Saint-Dominique de Rome. Parents are full members of the educational community and have regular, trust-based relations with the school. The APE informs about school life in general, ongoing reforms, and student directions; it is authorized to communicate its actions to other parents through documents distributed to students. The APE serves as an intermediary, working in direct contact with the head of the establishment and with the school community (educational counselors, teachers, etc.). The APE collaborates with the school to support the education of the children. For further information, the admissions team is available to answer questions.
