ISB offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP), all fully authorised. The IB framework fosters independent thinking, inquiry-based learning, and international-mindedness, preparing students for top universities worldwide. A clear progression across stages is supported by a University and Career Guidance programme that helps with subject choices, university applications, and interviews. A fully equipped science facility supports science enquiry across the secondary years.
The campus includes spaces for the arts such as a shared Music Room, an Art Room, and a Drama Hall. PYP clubs include drama and media, while MYP clubs include musical theatre, football, sewing, pilates and badminton, and study clubs. The facilities support visual and performing arts across the IB continuum.
The language of instruction is English while Italian language skills are actively developed. The Italian programme runs across PYP, MYP and DP and links English learning with Italian to prepare students for Italian state exams where appropriate. In the PYP, Italian is taught with five weekly lessons for native speakers from PYP1 to PYP5; in the MYP Italian is taught as Language A, Language B, and Language Acquisition; in the DP the Italian programme includes Language A, Language B and language ab initio. We also offer a German club as part of language and cultural activities.
Clubs cover a wide range of activities including a German club, chess, gardening and eco club, sports club, drama and media in the PYP; MYP adds the musical theatre club, football club, sewing club, pilates and badminton club, and study club. After-school clubs run Monday to Thursday for PYP and Tuesday to Wednesday for MYP, providing additional opportunities to explore interests and talents. These activities foster collaboration, creativity, and personal interests beyond core academics.
University and Career Guidance begins in the Diploma Programme, offering 1:1 guidance on university choices and career paths, help with applications and personal statements, and workshops and fairs with universities, professionals and alumni. ISB graduates go on to top universities worldwide, including UCL, the University of Amsterdam, San Raffaele Milano, and Lynn University. The school also holds an Athlete Friendly Education Centre accreditation to support student athletes balancing sport and study.
ISB provides a structured daily routine with school hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8:30 am to 3:10 pm on Fridays, plus after-school programs consisting of clubs, sports, and enrichment activities.
