International School Brescia opened its doors in 2009 with one class of students. The school was authorised for the IB Primary Years Programme, then the IB Middle Years Programme, and finally the IB Diploma Programme, becoming an IB continuum school with a learner-centred, inquiry-based approach from age 3. In 2020 ISBrescia moved from Botticino to Bedizzole to provide more space and improved facilities.
The ISB community is international, with students from many nationalities united in pursuing an international education. The school is non-selective and welcomes students from diverse educational backgrounds, aiming to support, guide and challenge them to reach their potential. ISB teaching staff come from around the world, and the school is part of the Association of IB World Schools in Italy, which fosters collaboration among IB schools in Italy; it is also recognised by the World Academy of Sport as an Athlete Friendly Education Centre for student-athletes. The school emphasises a global outlook and a nurturing environment, with small class sizes that enable close engagement between students and teachers.
The primary role of the PTA is to support and promote cooperation and open communication between school and families. Parent representatives are elected for each grade at the start of each year.
International School Brescia is a private international day school in Italy offering a continuous IB programme for ages 3 to 18. The school teaches in English and supports bilingual development through English immersion, with Italian language study available as a native or additional language across the PYP and MYP, and Italian language options in the Diploma Programme. ISB Brescia is authorised by the IB to deliver the PYP, MYP and DP since 2020, providing a coherent inquiry-based progression from age 3 to adolescence. The campus in Bedizzole features dedicated Primary and Secondary areas, flexible-seating classrooms, a Science Lab, a Primary Science Room, an Art Room, a Music Room, a Drama Hall, and a new gym, plus two playgrounds and a small five-a-side pitch. The school places university and career guidance at the centre of its Diploma journey and offers after-school clubs in sport, arts, and languages, including German activities worldwide.
