In 1998, the school began educating students, with a vision to provide an innovative school system anchored in traditional values. The school has 25+ years of academic success. It is the first IB Continuum school in Emilia-Romagna and offers the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme. IS Modena is part of the International Schools of Europe Group, and has been an Inspired School since 2016. English is the primary language of instruction for 3 to 18-year-olds, with Italian language support to aid bilingualism.
IS Modena has a multicultural community comprising students from 3 to 18 years of age who are taught the PYP, MYP and DP programmes. The Montale Rangone campus sits on a beautifully green, specially-designed site. There are numerous events and activities throughout the year. As an Inspired School, the community benefits from overseas summer camps, exchange programmes and inter-school collaboration.
International School of Modena is a private IB World School educating students aged 3 to 18. The campus offers the full International Baccalaureate continuum: Primary Years Programme in Kindergarten and Primary School, Middle Years Programme in Middle School, and the Diploma Programme in High School. English is the language of instruction, with Italian language support to aid bilingualism; IS Modena is the first IB Continuum school in Emilia-Romagna to deliver the entire IB curriculum in an English-based setting. The campus includes libraries, science laboratories, arts spaces, drama and music studios, and a Diploma Centre, plus a gym, football pitch and rooftop basketball court. Classrooms feature interactive projectors, digital whiteboards and personal devices; a Library and Collaborative Study Area supports group and independent learning. Since 1998, the school has grown with a strong co-curricular program, highlighted by Model United Nations and Sustainable Development Goals clubs, alongside sports and performing arts opportunities.
