The International School Rimini (ISR) was founded in 2018 and is located at Via Santa Chiara 40 in the center of Rimini. It initially featured Kindergarten and Primary grades. In 2023 the middle school was opened to ensure continuity in the learning journey. In 2024 ISR joined BDC Group, a network of forward-thinking schools that highlight Italian identity, international perspective, and entrepreneurial spirit. Plans are underway for the opening of the high school in September 2026 to continue the educational path.
ISR is located in the heart of Rimini Old Town, occupying more than 1,000 square meters with ten classrooms, a library, a playground and a gym. It enhances the cultural heritage of Rimini as an educational resource and collaborates with BDC School of Milan to enrich the school experience with shared resources and skills. ISR is part of BDC Group and led by a leadership team including Emanuel Colombini (Founder & Board Member), Irene Piazza Roncoroni (Founder & CEO BDC Group), Marco Paschina (Managing Director), and Philip O'Gara (Principal). Plans for ongoing growth include opening a high school in September 2026.
International School Rimini (ISR), founded in 2018 and part of the BDC Group, is the only IB World School in Romagna. Located in the center of Rimini, ISR is authorized for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The school currently educates students from Early Years (age 3) through Grade 10, with High School classes opening in September 2026 to continue the MYP curriculum. Instruction is entirely in English, with specific exceptions for Italian and Spanish language classes, all taught by international teachers. A distinctive feature of ISR is its specific educational method focused on "Mediterraneity, Internationality, and Entrepreneurship." This approach actively integrates local Italian heritage with global perspectives. Operating Monday to Friday from 7:45 to 15:30, ISR prepares students to thrive globally through partnerships with other international schools, ensuring a cohesive and continuous educational journey.
