Boarding Arrangements

High School students have guaranteed entry to Inspired Boarding Schools. Exchange students may stay in premium accommodation at an Inspired Boarding School or with a verified host family during exchanges.

Uniform Requirement

PYP and MYP wear the official white polo shirt or T-shirt with the school logo, dark blue trousers/sweatpants or dark blue calf-length shorts/skirts, and a blue zip jacket with the logo. Grades 12 and 13 may wear smart casual clothing. PE kit includes comfortable clothes for activity and a non-marking pair of shoes; a wick-away T-shirt is available from the official uniform supplier OVS. Online ordering is through the OVS platform with personally assigned access codes.

Food Options

School meals are served daily in the canteen with nutritious lunch options; menus are published at the start of each semester and are seasonally based. Students receive a mid-morning fruit snack and an afternoon snack; lunches are provided at an additional cost.

Governance and Ownership

The school is owned by International School of Europe S.P.A. and is part of Inspired Education. Since September 2016, IS Siena has been a member of Inspired Education and is the only IB school in Siena to be part of the Inspired Group.

International School of Siena is a private international school in Tuscany, Italy, serving ages 3 to 18. It offers the International Baccalaureate continuum from Early Years to High School: PYP, MYP and DP, with the Diploma Programme recognised by universities worldwide and legally equivalent to the maturità. English is the language of instruction; Italian is taught to a high standard, and other languages are offered where possible. The school is part of the Inspired Education group and operates on a state-of-the-art campus designed for immersive learning from Kindergarten through IB diploma. Academic facilities are led by subject specialists in English, French, Spanish, drama, dance, music and physical education. Extra-curriculars include Global Exchanges and Summer Camps in Europe, university counselling, and a Co-Curricular Programme. Arts are embedded in the curriculum, with visual and performing arts studios and exhibitions. Italian language clubs, Duke of Edinburgh Award, and community projects further enrich student life. The school prepares Italian students for Quinta Elementare and Terza Media examinations.
