IST offers cocurricular programmes and school clubs that balance the learning experience by giving students the tools to express creativity, think critically, communicate effectively, and learn through inquiry. The UNESCO Club has around 15-20 active members and meets every Monday to discuss ecological themes and environmental issues. The Yearbook Club preserves memories through photography, design, and storytelling. Model United Nations (MUN) provides an academic simulation of the United Nations with IST hosting the Turin Model United Nations conference; students research countries, debate, negotiate, and develop solutions.
Primary Performing Arts is a cocurricular course for the Primary Years (Grades 1-5) with rotating modules in Drama, Dance, Choir, Percussion Ensemble and Strings. External tutors include performers from the international stage, including members of the Orchestra della Rai and the Filieradarte Association for Educational Dance.
IST runs international exchanges and activities designed to promote international mindedness. Exchange experiences may be online or involve travel. Partners include the International School of Zanzibar, Kodaikanal International School, Brighton Primary School, Dumont D'Urville European High School, and International School of Geneva, among others.
The Secondary Sports Team offers after-school clubs for MYP students, including volleyball, basketball, football and cross-country running. The clubs are free of charge and provide opportunities to represent IST in international tournaments and matches.
IST emphasises service-learning through international exchanges and its Eco Club. The Zanzibar programme includes mangrove cleanup, helping local children improve English reading and writing, and working with FLO House; IST students stay with host families during exchanges. The Eco Club collaborates with other schools to promote sustainability at local and international levels.
The IST Student Council is student-led, developing leadership, cooperation, and school spirit. The Primary School Council (Grades 2–5) plans activities and fosters citizenship and teamwork, while the Secondary School Council organizes student activities, manages facilities, and oversees student funds.
IST Summer Camp runs four weeks for ages 3–14 in English, featuring sports, arts, and outdoor adventures. The program offers on-site nursing, small groups, healthy meals, and themed activities. Pre- and Post-Camp care are available, with options and fees listed for year 2026.
International School of Turin (IST) is a private, non-denominational day school in Piedmont offering a broad IB continuum—PYP, MYP and DP—alongside Indian, Japanese, French, Dutch, Cambridge and British curricula.
