The International School of Verona is a private day school in Italy offering an international curriculum. It combines the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB DP) with Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge Secondary programs, taught in English in a scuola paritaria setting. The five-year program leads to the IB Diploma after completing Cambridge IGCSEs in year three. Students study Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, IT, English Language and Literature, Italian Language and Literature, Latin, Chinese, German or Spanish, plus Business Studies, History, Geography, Philosophy, Physical Education, Visual Art and Art History. The school emphasises language learning, and by graduation many students study five languages; it is a Confucius Class School for Chinese language and culture. Distinctive features include dedicated study-skills courses for independent research and arts and theatre opportunities.
