Kinder College International School, Bologna, established in 1967 as Bologna's first international school, offers Preschool, Primary and Middle School to students aged 1 to 16. It is an international private school with paritaria status in Italy and is part of Kinder International School Bologna. The school teaches the IB curriculum, with the Primary Years Programme available for Preschool and Primary, and a Middle Years Programme candidate. The campus is housed inside a 15th‑century convent and sits on 22 hectares of fields and woods in the Bologna hills, providing expansive outdoor spaces for learning and sport. Over half the teaching hours are conducted in English by native speakers, and Mandarin Chinese is introduced in the language program. Facilities include laboratories for music, information technology, and science, a music room, and a film theatre; there are 22 artistic activities and sports, a swimming pool, and an orchard.
