Language Provision

Languages taught are English and Italian. English is the main language of communication. Italian is taught as a subject by specialist teachers and the Italian programme follows ministerial guidelines of Italian state schools; EISP can offer international students the opportunity to learn Italian. The Diploma Programme requires the study of an additional language.

Bilingual Teaching

English and Italian are taught in a bilingual education model at EISP. English is the main language of communication. The Nursery/Infant School fully immerses children in a natural English-language environment. The Elementary School uses a bilingual framework, with English instruction delivered by class teachers and Italian taught as a specialist subject; the Italian programme follows ministerial guidelines respected in Italian state schools.

The English International School of Padua is an international school in Italy serving students aged 1 to 18 across Nursery/Infant, Primary, Middle and High School. It operates in purpose-built buildings on Via Forcellini: 164 houses Middle and High School, 168 serves Nursery/Infant and Primary. The curriculum combines EYFS, the IB Primary Years Programme, Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme, with English as the main language and bilingual English-Italian instruction. Cambridge IGCSE is offered for ages 14–16, and the Diploma Programme for the final two years (ages 16–19). Facilities include two equipped gyms, outdoor football field, a large green area for cricket and rounders, an outdoor synthetic pitch, an athletics track, IT and science labs, English and Italian libraries, and on-site canteens with nutritionist-approved menus. The campus features a geo-solar system and a green oasis. Extracurriculars include MUN, TOK, Diploma Success workshops, Trinity Music Exams, DELE/DELF/Goethe, and Empathia CAS project.
