The school offers a diverse range of after-school activities that include sports, arts, and academic clubs. Internal clubs are available for Kindergarten to Grade 1 at the Yoyogi Campus, while Grade 2 to Grade 8 clubs are held at the Jinnan Campus. External clubs include Soccer, Volleyball, Taekwondo, Pilates, Junior Coding, and Coding. These programs provide opportunities to pursue academic enrichment and STEM interests beyond regular class time.
Summer Camp 2025 includes arts and crafts as part of its activities. Camp experiences also incorporate cultural experiences and trips to galleries and parks. The Jinnan Campus features a Creative Studio space and a Tech Lab with 3D printers to support hands-on creative projects. These resources enable ongoing arts and creative exploration beyond the classroom.
The school provides cultural and language enrichment through field trips and excursions aligned with its IB PYP program. Past excursions have included venues such as the Toshiba Science Museum, NHK Studio Park, Tokyo National Museum, Tama Zoo, and Tokyo Sea Life Park. After-school activities provide opportunities to pursue personal interests and build friendships outside classroom hours. Internal and external clubs cover a range of activities, including sports like Soccer and Volleyball. The program runs from 15:45 to 16:45, Monday through Friday, at both the Yoyogi and Jinnan campuses. Students can select from staff-led ASAs and external clubs to connect with peers who share similar interests.
The school emphasizes community engagement as part of its learning philosophy. Activities that connect students with the local community include PE classes and after-school activities held at nearby facilities. The PTA–Friends of Yoyogi coordinates events and fundraises for charities and school resources, encouraging parent involvement and community-wide support.
Wellbeing is supported through physical education, after-school sports, and fitness activities. A cross-country team and running club make use of local parks and trails. External clubs include Pilates as part of the after-school program. The school's facilities and PE framework support physical and mental health through active, community-connected activity.
Yoyogi International School – Yoyogi Campus is located in Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, next to Yoyogi Park and within easy reach of central Tokyo by public transport. The school is an authorized IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). Its curriculum is also described as being cultivated from the US Common Core and the UK National Curriculum, providing a structured international framework for learning. The Yoyogi Campus serves younger students, with small class sizes of up to 16 students, allowing teachers to give close attention to each child. English is the main language of instruction, with Japanese taught as part of the programme. After-school activities include options such as soccer, volleyball, taekwondo, Pilates, arts and coding, which includes junior coding programmes. Founded in 1999, with the Yoyogi Campus opening in 2015, the school offers an international education setting in a green, urban neighbourhood familiar to many families living in Tokyo.
