The KIS Astana campus opened in 2024 in the EXPO area of Astana and is a newly purpose-built facility with outdoor recreation and sports grounds. It provides large indoor and outdoor learning spaces for students. Outdoor facilities include an artificial football pitch, a multi-use/tennis court, a running track, and a fully-equipped outdoor playground for young children. Indoor facilities include a large sports hall for a range of indoor sports, plus two indoor swimming pools (one for kindergarten and one for primary and secondary students), an indoor training room, a dance/martial arts room, and a weights/fitness training room. The Early Years Programme emphasizes inquiry-led and play-based learning with specialist classes in Music, Physical Education, and Art.

The Early Years Programme is designed for children aged 2 to 6 and uses inquiry-led and play-based learning with daily literacy and math activities. Specialist classes include Music, Physical Education, and Art. The school plans to offer the IB continuum (PYP, MYP, and DP).
After-school activities for Grades 1-3 include Football, Karate, Athletics, Robotics, Hip Hop, Basketball, Chess, Drama, Choir, Dombra, Piano, Painting, Kazakh, Russian, and French.
Kazakhstan International School Astana offers the International Baccalaureate continuum (PYP, MYP, and DP) in Astana's EXPO area. The DP follows six subject groups: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts, with three Higher Level and three Standard Level subjects, plus Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, and Service. KIS Astana plans an inquiry-led, globally minded curriculum from Early Years through to DP, with PYP in Kindergarten through Grade 5 and MYP in Grades 6-10.
