Kenton College Preparatory School sits on a 35‑acre campus in Nairobi. The site features a large hall used for assemblies and concerts, the Davies Music Gallery with twenty music rooms, two computing labs, a Design & Technology studio and workshop, a well‑equipped art room with pottery wheels, and libraries for Early Years and Preparatory pupils. A wellness centre provides a full‑time doctor and a school nurse. The campus also houses several sports and learning facilities, including a forthcoming multi‑purpose Sports Hall.
There are four expansive grass pitches, an eight‑lane heated swimming pool with a touch‑pad timing system, a full‑sized AstroTurf pitch, three tennis courts and three cricket nets. An upcoming multi‑purpose Sports Hall will expand indoor space for physical activities and include a dance studio, strength and conditioning room, two squash courts and a cafeteria. These facilities support the school's broad PE and sports programme and competitive teams.
Academic facilities include two fully equipped Computing Labs, a Design & Technology (DT) Studio and workshop, and a well‑resourced Art Room with pottery wheels. The Davies Music Gallery supports music education with dedicated spaces and resources. There are two libraries—one for Early Years and a second for Preparatory pupils—designed to foster reading and inquiry, complemented by ICT and other classroom resources to support learning.
Extras are offered after school from 3.45–4.45pm, Monday to Thursday, covering a wide range of clubs including Karate, Taekwondo, Chess, Golf, Lego, Little Einsteins (STEM), Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Photography, Tennis, Swimming, Rugby, STEMROBO (Robotics, Coding & AI), LAMDA, CrEd (Performing Arts) and Fencing. The Afternoon Activities programme also includes the Kenton Award Life Skills activities, which cover Survival Skills, Needlework, Cooking and Nutrition, Gardening, Charity and Outreach, Key Skills and Money Management, with progression across year groups and connections to trips and assessments.
Kenton College Preparatory School is a co-educational British-curriculum prep school in Nairobi, Kenya, serving ages 3 to 13. The Junior School follows the English National Curriculum, with subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, ICT, Kiswahili, Religious Studies, Art, Design Technology, Music and PE, with French from Year 4. Languages taught include Kiswahili, French, Spanish and Latin, with specialist teachers for some subjects. Year 8 pupils have earned scholarships to next schools, with over 85% achieving A*-B in English Common Entrance since 2018.
