Premier Academy provides support for emotional and social development through Student Support Services. The department, led by Shazma Mukri, collaborates with students, parents/guardians, and school staff to address emotional, social, academic, and personal well-being and tailor support to individual learning needs and career aspirations. The aim is to create a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally and build confidence for life. The Counselling Department offers safe spaces, wellness programs, and ongoing guidance to students and families, and staff collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student well-being.
Learning Support Services provide individualized support to all learners, using one-on-one or small-group sessions and in-class accommodations tailored to each student's needs. The department works with mainstream teachers to plan differentiated instruction and monitor progress, with the aim of helping every student reach their potential. The Pastoral Care program supports emotional and personal growth, complementing academic support.
Pastoral Care and the Counselling Department deliver mental well-being programs and emotional support for students.
Confidentiality applies to student–counsellor conversations; if a student is at risk of harm or someone is in danger, the counsellor must share concerns with the appropriate authorities to ensure safety.
