Academic and Intellectual

OTR International School offers IB programmes across Preschool through Secondary: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 6–10, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) for Grades 11–12. It is an IB World School for MYP and DP and a Cambridge International Examination Centre, enabling Cambridge IGCSEs, AS and A Levels to be taken on site. The school provides bilingual education in English and French, with teachers whose mother tongue corresponds to the language of instruction, supporting daily bilingual development. The school emphasises multilingual education and connects classroom learning to practical, real‑world contexts.

Arts and Creative

The after‑school clubs include Theatre & Performing Arts, Junior Stitch Creators (sewing & fashion), Art & Robotics, Coding Club & Chess, and sports such as Boxing, Hip Hop, Football, and more. Secondary clubs offer Atelier Stitch Creators, Journalism & Blogging, Public Speaking & Debate, Guitar & YouTube Creators, Gaming Club, Medcup, Chess, and additional options. These clubs foster creativity, collaboration and expression beyond classroom hours.

Cultural and Language

OTR provides multilingual education in English and French, with pupils developing bilingualism daily as teachers' mother tongues align with the language of instruction. Luxembourgish and other languages are offered as extracurricular activities to support multilingual exposure. The school's foundation and mission emphasise a multilingual, intercultural learning environment.

Social and Hobbies

The school's after‑school program runs from Preschool to High School, with Preschool Adventures, Primary Club Fun, and Secondary Inspiration offering diverse activities such as LEGO, Art & Craft, Multisport, Theatre & Performing Arts, Sewing, Art & Robotics, Coding, Chess, Boxing, Hip Hop and more. In addition, Secondary students can join clubs like Public Speaking & Debate, Journalism & Blogging, Guitar & YouTube Creators, Gaming Club and Chess. These clubs encourage teamwork, creativity and staying active in a supportive environment.

Community and Service

Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) are central to the IB Diploma Programme, encouraging students to engage in creative, physical and service activities. The KiVa antibullying program protects the school community with ongoing monitoring and parent resources to tackle bullying. Together, these initiatives promote community engagement, well‑being and social responsibility.

Leadership and Professional

Public Speaking & Debate and Journalism & Blogging clubs develop communication, presentation and critical‑thinking skills. Other clubs such as Guitar & YouTube Creators and Gaming Club help students collaborate, produce content and work in teams. These activities provide opportunities to lead, articulate ideas and prepare for future professional contexts.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The Well‑Being program includes monthly mental health and wellness sessions integrated into the curriculum. The Wellness Curriculum focuses on five areas: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give, with Be Active including swimming, team sports and gymnastics under teacher supervision. The aim is for students to become resilient, balanced individuals who manage their emotions and stay physically healthy.

OTR International School in Luxembourg is a private, non‑profit international school affiliated with the Luxembourg Ministry of National Education. It serves preschool through secondary and teaches in English and French, with native‑speaking teachers. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is delivered in G1–G5 as a bilingual 50/50 program through co‑teaching and language rotation, with specialist courses in Theatre, Visual Arts, Sports/PE, Computer Science and Library. The PYP aims to develop curious, ethical and reflective learners and to prepare students for the MYP.
