Uniform Requirement

Uniform is worn during regular hours and at school events. Reception/Junior uniforms are beige with a light blue shirt for boys and a beige pinafore with a blue blouse for girls; Senior uniforms are light blue shirts with beige bottoms. PE kit is a MIGS white T‑shirt with blue shorts/pants and a House T‑shirt is used for inter-house activities; uniforms must be purchased from the designated tailor and the PE kit from the school bookshop. Hijab options are available for female Muslim students.

Food Options

Meals during morning break and lunch are included in the school fees. The meals are halal and bovine-free with daily variety including Asian and Western dishes; snacks are provided during CCAs as needed. The dining hall seats up to 200, with staggered meal times to prevent crowding.

House System

There are four Sports Houses: Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, and Emerald. Students are allocated to a House on joining; inter-house competition and events, including Sports Day, involve team participation.

Governance and Ownership

The school is governed by a Board of Governors that defines vision, mission, ethos, and policies. The Chairperson is Tan Sri Dato' Sri Liow Tiong Lai and the Executive Chairman is Dr. Kalsom Ismail.

Mutiara International Grammar School (MIGS) offers a British-style education for students aged 3 to 16, following the Cambridge Assessment International Education pathway and culminating in the IGCSE examinations. Facilities include five science laboratories and two computer labs. A distinctive feature of the school is its weekly themed assemblies for both Junior and Senior schools. These assemblies provide a platform for students to develop public speaking, acting, and other theatrical skills. For younger students, there is a "Reading Olympics" to encourage reading.
