Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Seri Jubli International School was formally established in 2020, following a gradual transition from a homeschooling centre known as Shalom, which began operations in 2004. In 2014, the school evolved into Seri Jubli Academy, with plans to construct a full international campus. Construction began in 2018, and the operating license was granted in 2019. The school opened its doors to students in 2020 under the leadership of Executive Director Mr. Lee Kok Hwee. It is privately owned and overseen by a Board of Governors with experience in education, research, and community development.

Community

The school fosters a close-knit community with a mix of local and international students. Cultural and community service events are a regular part of school life, including house celebrations, school camps, and outreach with organizations like Eden Community Services Centre. The school encourages student participation in both local initiatives and global partnerships, including a collaboration with Handong Global University in South Korea.

Parent-Teacher Association

There isn't any publicly available information about the PTA, but parents seem to be an active part of the school's community.

A distinctive feature of the school is its house system, inspired by the four classical elements: Aeris (Air), Aqua (Water), Ignis (Fire), and Terra (Earth). This system fosters a sense of community, leadership, and healthy competition among students through various activities and events.
