ASFG Guadalajara is a non-profit Asociación Civil formed and legally constituted on April 17, 1956. The buildings, land, equipment, and furniture are the exclusive property of the Association, and no member may dispose of them; donations are reinvested in the Association. If the Association is dissolved, all property would be donated to another non-profit organization in accordance with the statutes. From early childhood through grade nine, ASFG is incorporated with the Mexican Secretary of Education of Jalisco (SEJ); grades ten through twelve are served under an agreement with UNAM, with high school revalidated by SEP. The school is fully accredited pre-K through twelfth grade by SACS CASI, AdvancED.
ASFG believes in community. It builds community through the Parent Association, strengthens ties with alumni through events, and invites participation in sustainability initiatives and service-learning projects. Students participate in service-learning projects as part of ASFG's community focus. The Alumni Association was established in 1995 and organizes reunions, events, fundraising, and collaborations to reconnect alumni with ASFG.
