In a house that no longer exists on Avenida Vallarta in this city, a story began that would over time become Colegio Inglés. It arose from a deep vocation to educate and the sincere desire to guide children in their early learning, with enthusiasm, commitment, and a humane approach. From its beginnings, the school was conceived as a simple, close-knit space without prejudice or presumptions, where each student could grow at their own pace, develop their abilities, and build, with effort and consistency, their personal and academic path. Over the years, the vision adopted new tools, including English, which today forms an essential part of our students' formation and connects them with the world around them and with future opportunities. Clementina Bassols de López Sánchez founded the school in 1955 and led it through 1982; Clementina López Bassols led from 1983 to 2015; since 2016, Bernardo Bernardis López has led as part of the third generation of leadership, working with families at every stage of basic education.
The school has two campuses in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León: San Agustín Campus (Pre-Nursery to 3rd Grade) on 2.39 hectares and Encino Campus (4th Grade to 9th Grade) on 2.22 hectares. The Civic orientation centers on Citizens of the World, aiming to prepare students to lead rewarding personal, academic, and professional lives as responsible global citizens, applying ethics, habits of mind, critical thinking, research strategies, and technology concepts to opportunities and challenges with confidence and competence. News and Events are featured on the site, with social media presence, and a Our Community Speaks section where families share experiences about events such as YAW and Family Cinema Night, reflecting engagement and pride in the CI community. Mil gracias a los organizadores de YAW, padrísimo evento; Felicidades con la idea del family cinema night; y comentarios de familias sobre ASOMEX demuestran la conexión entre familias y la escuela. (Translations: Many thanks to the YAW organizers for a wonderful event; The family cinema night was a hit with children and parents; Families shared positive reflections on ASOMEX.)
The CI Parent Association (APAFCI, Asociación de Padres de Familia del Colegio Inglés) comprises parents with shared beliefs that education counts. They volunteer their time and efforts to organize school-wide events for students and activities to celebrate important dates and maintain close communication with the school authorities. Parents may sign up as representatives of their child's class to unite their group and strengthen relationships between parents and students through activities and celebrations. The CI parent community includes a diverse range of nationalities, interests, and expertise, with the objective of promoting pride and belonging, coexistence, and family integration through leisure, sports, and cultural activities in a cordial and friendly environment. This objective is achieved through the collaboration of Directors and Homeroom Mothers. }⟩} { } } } } }}}}lichkeiten? } }} {
