The Values Program promotes character education, responsible decision-making, personal accountability, and respect for cultural heritage. The program is planned, executed, measured, and improved with a preventive approach for child protection and the needs of the CI community. Habits of the Heart are taught to boost self-esteem and foster respectful, caring relationships, while Habits of Mind promote academic and social effectiveness and are integrated across curricula, co-curricular activities, and daily interactions. Environmental Education develops ecological awareness and responsible behavior toward preserving campus and community environments. Community Service activities extend learning beyond the classroom and reinforce empathy and civic responsibility in students, staff, and parents. The school believes that engagement with caring staff and assertive parents helps students become thoughtful, lifelong learners.
The Student Support Program serves the needs of students with unique and diverse learning styles. Psychologists and academic specialists support students, teachers, and parents. The SSP includes assessment and an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) to facilitate academic and social growth. The active participation of parents and school-home collaboration are fundamental to the program. SSP assists in fine and gross motor development, orientation to time and space, academic areas, emotional stability and social skills, adaptation for new students, and Basic English and Basic Spanish for international students.
The school is fully bilingual. Basic English and Basic Spanish for international students are provided through the Student Support Services. EAL support is integrated with core instruction to help international students participate fully in classes. The bilingual environment supports language development across the curriculum. The school's international orientation includes language development as a core element.
Habits of the Heart and Habits of Mind develop self-esteem, resilience, and the capacity for positive, respectful relationships. The Values Program is designed to nurture emotional well-being and ethical conduct through explicit teaching and school-wide practice. Emotional stability and social skills are supported through SSP services integrated with academic work. Environmental Education and Community Service foster a sense of purpose and social connectedness that supports mental well-being. Engagement with caring staff and supportive parents contributes to students becoming thoughtful, lifelong learners.
The school has a Child Protection Policy to guide safeguarding practices. A state-guided guide and protocol for early detection and response to child abuse, harassment, violence, and maltreatment is provided. The In-School Safety program includes a School Emergency Response Plan (SERP) that trains students and staff for evacuations. The campus enforces a Smoke-Free Policy, prohibiting smoking on premises and at school-sponsored events. Protection and emergency planning involve collaboration with Protección Civil del Estado de Nuevo León and the Fire Department of Monterrey to ensure readiness and safety.
