Additional recurring and other fees

- Sibling discount: 15% discount applies to the third, fourth and fifth child in the same family.
- Supply / consumable items: some year-/grade-specific items are required (PE kit, stationery, device, etc.). A KG book-bag/folder is sold through the school (KG item noted at MAD 100 in the KG supply list).

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Re-enrollment / initial deposit: parents confirm intent to enroll and pay an initial payment equal to 10% of tuition plus the annual Development Fee (MAD 6,000), the Educational Resources Fee (MAD 3,000) and the PTO Fee (MAD 200). The school requests this confirmation/payment by the stated re-enrollment deadline.
- Standard installment schedule: after the initial 10% deposit, the remainder is due in three further installments: 40% due by July 31; 25% due by October 30; and 25% due by January 31.
- Early/full-payment discount: paying the full tuition by April 30 qualifies for a 5% discount on tuition.
- Monthly plan: parents may choose ten equal monthly payments beginning May 1; a bank-stamped direct-debit order is required and a 1% administrative fee applies.
- Late payments: amounts paid after due dates are subject to a penalty of 2% per month on overdue amounts.

Payment methods and transaction charges

- Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, check, or credit/debit card (on campus or via the school's online payment gateway).
- Convenience / online card fees: online payments with a local Moroccan card incur a 1% convenience fee; online payments with a foreign card incur a 2.75% convenience fee.
- Bank-transfer practice: when paying by bank transfer, provide the family name and send a copy of the transfer to the Business Office so payment can be credited.

Boarding / residential arrangements

- Boarding: not applicable. The school operates as a day school (no boarding program).

Refund policy and non‑refundable items

- Non-refundable fees: registration/enrolment fee, application/administration fee, testing fees (where applicable), Educational Resources Fee, and Development/Facility Fee are non‑refundable.
- Tuition deposit: the 10% tuition deposit becomes non‑refundable after April 30.
- Tuition refund: tuition is refundable on a prorated basis if the school is informed of a student's departure before October 15; after October 15 tuition is non‑refundable.
- Re-enrollment payments: required re-enrollment payments (10% deposit + annual fees listed above) are required to confirm a place for the following year.

Other practical notes on fees

- Some grade-specific supplies or items (PE kit, laptops/tablets for upper grades, textbooks or consumables) are not included in the tuition and are billed/required separately through supply lists or school communications.
- Families who pay full tuition early or select certain payment plans should note the administrative or convenience charges that may apply to their chosen payment method.

Located on an 8-hectare campus, the American School of Marrakesh provides PK-12 education for ages 3 to 18. It is a college-preparatory school governed by the Board of Trustees of the American School of Tangier Corporation (ASTC) and recognized by the U.S. Department of State as one of five American schools in Morocco. The campus is the largest PK-12 campus in Morocco, with classrooms, labs and performance spaces. ASM offers a dual-path curriculum: an American Curriculum with AP options and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The Upper School follows AERO standards and culminates in the IBDP, with core subjects in English, Math, Science, Social Studies and World Languages, including French and Arabic, with a trilingual emphasis in Upper School. Diploma Programme covers languages, individuals & societies, sciences, mathematics and the arts, with CAS, EE and TOK; 27 IBDP credits are required. Carolyn L.
