The campus spans 8 hectares and is the largest PK-12 campus in Morocco. It is about a twenty-minute drive from Marrakesh's historic center. The campus includes indoor and outdoor classrooms, playing fields, performance stages, and laboratories for student work. The Carolyn L. McPhillips Library is on the first floor above the main reception and offers a quiet space for reading, study, research and collaboration with WiFi throughout. The campus includes two full-size soccer fields used for MASAC competitions.
Sports and co-curricular activities are supported by dedicated PE teachers and include volleyball, basketball, football and track and field, with inter-school and regional tournaments. The campus includes two full-size soccer fields used for MASAC tournaments, and ASM coaches lead weekday practices. ASM hosts the MASAC Soccer Boys & Girls Tournament and participates in MASAC athletic events during the 2025/26 season.
The Carolyn L. McPhillips Library is located on the first floor above the main reception and provides a space for reading, study, research, collaboration and homework with WiFi throughout. The library's mission is to foster reading, research and investigation to help students become globally competent, ethical users of information technologies with strong intellectual curiosity and a lifelong love of reading, independent thinking and learning. The library is open Monday to Friday with posted hours. The campus also features laboratories, assembly spaces and resource collections to support learning.
Co-Curricular Activities include: Debating, Drama, Environmental Awareness, Model United Nations, Robotics, Spanish Classes, Creative Writing, Communication & Media. Artistic offerings include Arts & Crafts, Guitar, Dance, Pottery, Gardening, Yearbook, Arabic Calligraphy. Interest-based options include Chess, Outreach Activities, School Newspaper, Student Council, Service Learning. ASM is part of MASAC (Moroccan American Schools Athletic Conference) with two full-size soccer fields and weekday practices; the MASAC Soccer Tournament is hosted by ASM.
Located on an 8-hectare campus, the American School of Marrakesh provides PK-12 education for ages 3 to 18. It is a college-preparatory school governed by the Board of Trustees of the American School of Tangier Corporation (ASTC) and recognized by the U.S. Department of State as one of five American schools in Morocco. The campus is the largest PK-12 campus in Morocco, with classrooms, labs and performance spaces. ASM offers a dual-path curriculum: an American Curriculum with AP options and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The Upper School follows AERO standards and culminates in the IBDP, with core subjects in English, Math, Science, Social Studies and World Languages, including French and Arabic, with a trilingual emphasis in Upper School. Diploma Programme covers languages, individuals & societies, sciences, mathematics and the arts, with CAS, EE and TOK; 27 IBDP credits are required. Carolyn L.
