The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Grades 11 and 12. Students study six subjects: one from Groups 1–5 and a sixth from Group 6 or a second subject from Groups 1–4, with three subjects at Higher Level and three at Standard Level. The core elements are Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS). All 11th- and 12th-grade students may pursue the Diploma or a Course Certificate. The school has been an IB World School since 1986.
Arts at CAS include Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Music. The Visual Arts program offers IB DP Visual Arts at Standard Level or Higher Level, and Theater is offered through IB Theater at SL or HL. The school stages musicals each year and maintains active engagement with international arts networks, with ongoing emphasis on performance, exhibition, and creative exploration. The Visual Arts and Theater programs are complemented by a Music program and related IB coursework.
English is the language of instruction; English Language Learner (ELL) support is provided. French and Arabic are mandatory second languages from Grade 2 through Grade 12, and Spanish is offered at various levels. The Upper School offers IB‑oriented language programs in Arabic, French, and Spanish prepared from Grade 7 to meet IB expectations. Language offerings include English A Language and Literature (Group 1) and multiple Group 2 languages.
Student clubs and activities span leadership, service, and personal development. Lower School Environmental Club leads sustainability efforts; Upper School clubs include Student Council, People 2 People, Model United Nations, National Honors Society, DECA, Health and Medicine, Interact, and Psychology. The Student Council has elected officers and class representatives to lead projects and mentor new students, while NHS and DECA provide leadership and professional-development experiences.
Community involvement features prominently through clubs like People 2 People, Interact, and various service drives. Interact (Rotary) leads humanitarian actions, while NHS and DECA support service and community projects. The school has hosted drives such as Lion's Club Ramadan Charity Drive and community initiatives including toy and clothing drives; there are also student-led service and fundraising activities connected to the broader CAS community.
Leadership opportunities are cultivated through the High School Student Council, which includes elected officers and grade representatives to lead initiatives, mentor new students, and foster school spirit. Clubs such as NHS, DECA, and MUN provide additional leadership and professional-skill development through competitions, conferences, and project work. The Student Council and various clubs offer pathways to develop organizational, communication, and collaborative abilities.
Physical education is embedded in the weekly schedule. Upper School PE offers two hours per week for Grades 6–10 with track and field, soccer, softball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and floor hockey, plus after-school teams that compete in national or international events. Lower School P.E. includes at least two sessions per week, with movement, games, and sport fundamentals integrated into daily activity; the program emphasizes physical, mental, and social development. The motto for Lower School P.E. is 'Have Fun, Sweat and Smile!' and there are ongoing opportunities for broad-based physical activity and well-being.
Casablanca American School is a not-for-profit school in Casablanca serving students aged 3 to 18. The curriculum combines an American-style university-preparatory program for Nursery–Grade 12 with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Grades 11–12 and IPC for the Primary years, plus a bespoke approach. The Early Childhood program (ages 3–6) uses The Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies and is designated a Creative Curriculum Ambassador School.
