The lycée Regnault is a direct-managed establishment within the AEFE network, and it is also the managing institution of the Tangier pole, the northern zone of AEFE establishments in Morocco. A true reference for French education delivered in Tangier, the establishment is currently undergoing significant development to fully play its role in the plan for the development of French education abroad and the 2030 horizon set by the President of the French Republic. This year it has 26 classes and 706 students: Sixth grade – 4 classes, 91 students; Fifth grade – 4 classes, 103 students; Fourth grade – 4 classes, 111 students; Third grade – 4 classes, 115 students; Second grade – 4 classes, 112 students; First grade – 3 classes, 93 students; Final year (Terminale) – 3 classes, 81 students. Spanish is taught by the Spanish language team.
Lycée Regnault is a directly managed AEFE secondary school in Tangier, Morocco, serving as the reference point for French education in the city. The school operates across two Tangier sites, Rue Chapi and Rue Allal Ben Abdellah, and follows the French Ministry of National Education homologation hours. With 26 classes and 706 students this year, students progress from 6ème to Terminale to sit the French baccalaureate, enabling study in Morocco, France and beyond. Founded in 1913, it is the oldest French lycée in Morocco and forms the heart of the AEFE Tanger pole, coordinating northern AEFE establishments. The curriculum is French, and the school participates in AEFE mobility programs and projects such as eloquence contests and EUROmad 2026. Distinctive features include the Parcours d'éducation artistique et culturel, expanded language pathways including PARLE, and a strong emphasis on citizenship, health education and inclusive practice. Extracurriculars span sport, arts and international exchanges.
