The Ullens Education Foundation (UEF) is a profit-not-distributing company registered with the Company Registrar Office and established in 2006 under the patronage of Baron Guy Ullens and Myriam Ullens. UEF operates Ullens School in Khumaltar (K–12 & IBDP), Ullens School Kathmandu (K10), Ullens LEAP (a gap year program), Ullens College, and the Ullens Center for Educator Development (UCED), its teacher training wing. UEF is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. The Ullens School began in May 2006 with 64 students and 24 faculty, focused on diversity and the concept that every child is unique. In 2009 the IB Diploma Programme was authorized to operate and began in Nepal, with IBDP starting that August.
Ullens Alumni Association (UAA) is a governing body under Ullens School formed to strengthen and empower the Ullens alumni community; established in June 2018 and led by a 13-member Executive Committee, it connects Ullens School with its alumni through programs and events, including an Alumni Day in July and regular reunions across continents. The Nala Outdoor Learning Center is a safe, green space near Kavre that is part of Ullens School and available for retreats or get-togethers for the Ullens community. ATP stands for Action Team for Partnership, a parent body that advises and supports Ullens School to conduct activities that enrich children's experience and understanding and to advise on strategic planning. Parents serve as class representatives for parents, as members of the School Management Committee (SMC), and as guest lecturers and chaperones during class trips and picnics. Ullens School is governed by the School Management Committee (SMC) in accordance with the Education Act of Nepal. Ullens Education Foundation (UEF) is the owner of the school. Bank Street College of Education, New York trained our teachers and leaders, and Bank Street provided technical support in establishing the school's progressive pedagogy. The school follows a government framework for Grades One to Ten and NEB for Grades Eleven and Twelve, and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
The Ullens School in Nepal is part of the Ullens Education Foundation (UEF), established in 2006 under the patronage of Baron Guy Ullens and Myriam Ullens. It operates at a Khumaltar campus (K–12 and IBDP) and Ullens Kathmandu, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) alongside the Nepal National Curriculum (NEB). The school teaches in English, with Nepali language development, and Mandarin study in Grades 4–8. It follows Bank Street approach to education, through a partnership with Bank Street College of Education, emphasizing experiential learning, hands-on activities, field trips and ICT resources. Ullens aims for classes (7:1 ratio) and development, including training at Bank Street and IB programmes. Facilities include three libraries totalling 20,000 books, science labs, ActivBoards, a 500-seat auditorium, and Kadjou Building for juniors, the Nala Outdoor Learning Center for nature-based learning. The school runs Project Week, CAS, and student activities such as MUN and Duke of Edinburgh.
