Amity International School Amsterdam is part of the Amity Education Group, a not-for-profit foundation established over 30 years ago that operates universities and schools worldwide. The group runs campuses in Dubai, London, Singapore, New York, Amsterdam, India and China, with plans to extend to an additional 25 countries. The Amsterdam campus is located at Amsterdamseweg 204, Amstelveen, The Netherlands. The school offers the full IB continuum (PYP, MYP, and DP) with classes primarily in English. It is accredited by NEASC, is an IB World School, and is a member of the Council of International Schools, with LAMDA exams offered for middle-year students.
Community is integral to Amity International School Amsterdam. The Community and Family Association (CFA) is a group of volunteer parents whose aim is to connect families with the school and to support the challenges of living as an expat. The CFA organizes social events such as coffee mornings, bake sales, the summer BBQ fun day and supports events that reflect life in the Netherlands, such as King's Day and Sinterklaas. As a new school in the Amsterdam region, the CFA contributes to a welcoming community and acts as a support network as the school grows. Amity International School Amsterdam is an IB World School offering the full IB Continuum — Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) — for students aged 3 to 18. Classes are taught primarily in English, with Dutch taught weekly as the host country language and French offered as an additional language. The school follows an inquiry-based approach designed to cultivate independence, curiosity and critical thinking, aligned with the IB Learner Profile. The on-site Forest School and surrounding parks enable outdoor learning as an integrated part of the curriculum. Facilities include large flexible learning spaces, an indoor gym, a music room, a well-stocked library and up-to-date science labs. The campus is located on a private island in Amstelveen, providing green surroundings and natural light.
