The Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) Sandcastle Campus, located in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, is an English-medium Dutch public international school offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum: Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), Diploma (DP), and Career-related (CP) Programmes. Housed in the repurposed Zandkasteel building—a former ING bank headquarters with modern monument status—the campus retains original architectural elements designed by Max van Huut while functioning as a school. The building incorporates sustainability features such as a green roof and photovoltaic panels. Specific facilities include a dedicated dance room, two science laboratories, and integrated outdoor terraces. A distinctive element of AICS is its Common Sense Digital Citizenship Programme, which operates alongside a student-designed Community Safety Agreement to establish behavioral expectations and internet safety guidelines. Furthermore, the campus integrates a "Kind&Co" after-school program, providing on-site activities such as sewing, guitar, and chess.
