Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. First Contact
To begin, parents must complete a registration of interest form on the school's online admission portal. Once this is submitted, the admissions team is readily available via email or telephone to answer any initial questions you may have.

2. Introductory Meeting
Families are invited to meet with the education team, either in person on campus, by phone, or virtually via Google Meet. Before attending this meeting, parents are required to upload their child's school reports for both the current and previous academic years.

3. Admission Application
Parents must submit the general application online alongside required documents, including the child's passport, school reports, any special educational needs records, and proof of eligibility for a Dutch international school. A non-refundable €400 family admission fee is required to process the application. Please wait for an official invoice from Libréon to pay this fee, as it will only be issued if there are currently places available.

4. Confirmation
The Admissions Committee reviews the application to ensure the school can meet your child's educational needs. Applicants for the Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma Programmes (DP) are also required to complete in-school assessments for English, Mathematics, and sometimes an additional language. Official placements for the upcoming school year are generally confirmed in June and July on a first-come, first-served basis.

International School Breda (ISB) is a Dutch international school offering the International Baccalaureate framework for pupils aged 4–18. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) serves younger learners, followed by the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the two-year Diploma Programme (DP) for older students. The school operates with just over 300 students, maintaining a deliberately small, close-knit community. The language of tuition is English, with Dutch taught to support participation in Dutch society; the DP also offers French and Spanish, and online courses via Pamoja Education are available. ISB is a Language Friendly school, linguistically and culturally inclusive, recognising and encouraging students' home languages within the school community. Graduates earn the IB Diploma, enabling access to higher education worldwide. The school participates in Eco-Schools and maintains a Sustainability Padlet for environmental projects, and collaborates with Breda Internationals to host social and family events throughout the year. University destinations data are provided for the last five years, reflecting ISB's progression pathway to higher education.
