Billing schedule and payment terms
- A deposit of EUR 500 per child is required in May prior to the start of the new school year; this deposit is treated as part-payment of the following year's fees and the school will retain the deposit if a child does not return in the following school year without prior written notification.
- Invoices for school fees and any other billed charges are issued to families by Libréon on behalf of the school; parents should follow the payment instructions on those invoices. The school requests that families do not send payment directly to the school outside this invoicing process.
Boarding fees
- The International School Breda operates as a day school and does not provide boarding accommodation; there are no boarding fees listed.
Other costs and incidental charges
- Additional, incidental or supplemental costs are billed separately from the tuition. These commonly include items such as school uniform, optional extracurricular activities, school trips, external examination fees (IB exam charges for Diploma years), lost or damaged items, and other incidentals. Families should expect such items to be invoiced separately from the annual tuition.
Refunds and deposit treatment
- The admission/application fee (EUR 400) is non-refundable.
- The EUR 500 deposit paid in May is part-payment of the next year's fees; the deposit is retained by the school if a child does not return in the following school year without prior written notification. Refund of the deposit is subject to the school's published conditions.
Fee payment options and invoicing
- All fee invoices are issued by Libréon on the school's behalf; invoices carry the payment instructions that families must follow. Parents should therefore use the payment method(s) specified on the Libréon invoice. The school specifically asks that families do not send money directly to the school outside the invoicing process.
Notes for parents (practical summary)
- Expect an application fee of EUR 400 when applying; expect to pay an EUR 500 deposit in May for each returning student to secure the next year's place.
- Annual tuition is EUR 8,288 for Kindergarten–Grade 10 and EUR 8,870 for Grades 11–12; parents commonly receive invoices from Libréon with payment terms and must follow those invoice instructions.
(Fees above are published for the school's current published fee schedule and are presented here as the school's stated amounts for the current academic-year fee schedule.)
International School Breda (ISB) is a Dutch international school offering the International Baccalaureate framework for pupils aged 4–18. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) serves younger learners, followed by the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the two-year Diploma Programme (DP) for older students. The school operates with just over 300 students, maintaining a deliberately small, close-knit community. The language of tuition is English, with Dutch taught to support participation in Dutch society; the DP also offers French and Spanish, and online courses via Pamoja Education are available. ISB is a Language Friendly school, linguistically and culturally inclusive, recognising and encouraging students' home languages within the school community. Graduates earn the IB Diploma, enabling access to higher education worldwide. The school participates in Eco-Schools and maintains a Sustainability Padlet for environmental projects, and collaborates with Breda Internationals to host social and family events throughout the year. University destinations data are provided for the last five years, reflecting ISB's progression pathway to higher education.
