Yes, tailored support is provided for students with identified and diagnosed learning needs through the Learning Support and Student Support teams. The multidisciplinary team includes Student Coaches, Counsellors, Coordinators, Learning Support Teachers, School Nurses, Teaching Assistants, and Year Tutors (in secondary) who collaborate to guide students toward individual goals and to support teachers in meeting diverse needs. When necessary, the school collaborates with external specialists to ensure effective assistance for a student's development and success. Classroom strategies and resources are used to enable access to mainstream lessons. Small class sizes help maximize individualized attention and progress is monitored through regular assessments.
The language of instruction is English in both the Primary International and Secondary Departments. The Primary Dutch Bilingual Department teaches 70% Dutch and 30% English. English Language Learning (ELL) support is available in the International Departments to help students develop their language skills and access the curriculum. Admissions include English proficiency assessments and a Language Profile to inform placement and support needs. The Language Policy confirms that English is the dominant language of instruction across the curriculum and that teachers support language development across subjects.
The ISE places the safety and well-being of students as the highest priority. Mental well-being and social needs are positively and proactively stimulated as part of a safe environment. The safeguarding framework supports prompt and appropriate responses to concerns, and students are empowered with knowledge about their rights and personal safety. A dedicated wellbeing framework is supported by a team of professionals who collaborate with families as needed to support holistic development and resilience.
The safety and well-being of students is the highest priority. The school commits to acting immediately and decisively whenever safeguarding issues are identified or suspected. Child protection is the active safeguarding of children from violence, exploitation, abuse, and neglect, including identifying signs of harm and providing necessary support. All staff have a clear responsibility to follow reporting procedures outlined in the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy. The policy is developed within the contexts of Netherlands law, SILFO regulation, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, with rigorous recruitment checks supporting safeguarding.

Step 2: Intake may be required if additional information is needed to assess your child's application.
Step 3: If a place is available, your child can join at any time during the school year; there may be a waiting list for certain year groups.
Step 4: Sign up for Introduction Sessions and school tours; Primary International Introduction Session is held monthly (in-person or online) followed by a full tour for prospective families. Sign up using the links provided for the relevant department.
Step 5: Complete registration and pay the applicable fees; the international departments have a non-refundable registration/processing fee of €200. A refundable deposit of €500 applies to secondary. Fees and current costs are listed in the Fees section.
