After-school clubs include Debate, Chess, and Computer, supporting critical thinking and academic exploration. Ibadan International School is an IB World School authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme in Pre-School and Junior School since January 2008. In Senior School, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International A Levels are offered as part of the curriculum.
Music is taught in five strands: Performing, Creating and Composing, Notation, Listening and Appreciation, and Music in Society. Students read sheet music and play instruments such as the piano, recorder, and guitar. After-school clubs include Drama, Ballet, Break Dance, Art & Craft, and Piano.
Arabic, French and Yoruba clubs are offered as after-school activities. The student body is diverse, with many students having English as a mother tongue and some speaking two or three languages. The school seeks meaningful engagement with local and global communities through its IB framework.
A wide range of after-school clubs and activities cover hobbies and sports, including Bead Making, Flower Decorating, Cookery & Home Making, and Candle Decorating. Sports such as football, taekwondo, basketball, tennis, and swimming are offered. There is also an After-School Play Centre in the Pre-School section for children waiting after school.
The School has a Student Council elected yearly from each grade in the Junior and Senior Sections, with a Chairperson from the Senior School Year Four. The Student Counsellor supervises all activities of the Student Council, whose function is to promote the interests of all students in school.
Sports are a central part of the curriculum and foster discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, accountability, cooperation, fair-play and teamwork. The school field is used for football, badminton, taekwondo and handball, with access to two private swimming pools, a tennis court and a basketball court. The Annual Sports Day takes place during the second term.
Ibadan International School (IIS) is a co-educational day school in Ibadan, Nigeria, offering an international curriculum for children from creche to Year 4 (ages 0–15). The Pre-School and Junior School follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), while the Senior School delivers the Cambridge IGCSE with Cambridge International A Levels also available. Established in 2003 by the Zard Foundation, IIS serves over 400 students from more than 15 nationalities with around 90 staff. The campus houses a library, a dedicated ICT Lab with a computer for every pupil, and extensive after-school clubs.
