Inclusive education is supported as the School's approach to the reality of diversity in learning needs. Inclusion is an organisational paradigm that involves change and requires collaboration among students, parents, teachers and other professionals to remove barriers to learning and provide appropriate support for all learners. An inclusive environment must be effective, friendly and welcoming, healthy and protective, and gender‑sensitive, fostering respect and harmony within a diverse community. Ibadan International School, with input from teachers, students, parents and professionals in the community, works to develop inclusion as a reality using open communication, understanding and respect as guiding principles. This aligns with the School's mission to give each student every opportunity to realize their maximum potential academically and as an individual while living harmoniously in a diverse world.
The school does not cater for boys and girls with diagnosed Specific Learning Difficulties, as it does not presently have the resources available to do full justice to the child concerned.
Safeguarding is a core principle; the interests of all students must be safeguarded. The school emphasizes an inclusive environment that is effective, friendly and welcoming, healthy and protective, and gender‑sensitive, with open communication, understanding and respect guiding interactions among students, parents and staff to support student well‑being and safety.
