The school is a co-educational boarding institution founded in 1994, located on a 60-hectare campus three hours from Lagos in Iloko-Ijesa, Osun State. It comprises junior and senior secondary schools and leadership programmes. The campus sits on more than 60 acres of countryside and supports a holistic approach to education across academics, sport, and the arts. The school uses fibre optic and wireless networks with a central learning server and an evolving digital learning environment, including tablet-based learning. The leadership and community involvement ethos runs across activities and programmes.
The school has facilities for soccer, athletics, basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming and minor sports. Students receive weekly coaching in these sports. A stadium named Dr. David Burgess Stadium provides football fields, an athletics track, a swimming pool, and courts for basketball, volleyball and tennis. Students participate in internal competitions such as Medley Relay, Swimming Championship, Swimming Gala, Volleyball, and various soccer formats, and the school hosts the AISEN festival of athletics.
Each classroom is fitted with projectors and a range of software to support modern teaching. The school has fibre optic and wireless networks and a central server to back up work and share resources, with a Virtual Learning Environment in development to extend learning online. There is an ongoing roll-out of iPad-based learning across the campus, supported by a partnership with a UK pilot iPad school. The school provides facilities for performing arts, including a drama studio, a music room and a recording studio, and has upgraded audio in the main hall to support performances. The curriculum includes WAEC and Cambridge examinations and a University Foundation Programme in partnership with Lancaster University, UK.
Extracurricular activities include performing arts (drama, music, and dance) and public speaking, along with a broad range of sports such as soccer, basketball, swimming, athletics, tennis, chess and board games. The Innovation Hub offers hands-on learning with 3D printers, coding stations, robotics kits and multimedia resources, plus mentorship. The Football Academy provides structured training as part of enrichment.
