Andino Cusco International School is an IB World School. Since 2014, it offers two International Baccalaureate programmes: the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Primary Years Programme (PEP). The Diploma Programme is taught at the end of secondary and emphasizes high academic standards and holistic development, supporting university admission and recognition in Peru and worldwide. The Primary Years Programme serves students aged 3 to 12 and is offered at the Initial and Primary levels, promoting inquiring learners who develop broad life skills. The school has 25 years of history, reflecting a longstanding experience in education in Cusco.
As part of the IB learning community, all members of our educational community (students, parents, and collaborators) commit to practicing the attributes of the IB profile, which extend beyond academic success. The IB profile attributes are Inquiry, Integrity, Communication, Solidarity, Audacity, Knowledge, Reasoning, Open-Mindedness, Balance, and Reflection. Graduates of Andino School possess a global mindset and a deep sense of social responsibility, prepared to contribute to a more just and sustainable world. Since 2016, our IB Diploma cohorts have participated in Diploma Programme assessments, and year after year perform well, preparing for studies at universities around the world.
Andino Cusco International School is an IB World School in Cusco, Peru, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3 to 12 and the Diploma Programme (DP) at the end of secondary. From Inicial, students benefit from English immersion, and in the Primary level a Dual Bilingual Program teaches content in English while Cambridge exam preparation is integrated into regular classes. In the Secondary, English proficiency is aligned with the CEFR within standard classes to support study at international institutions. The school has been an IB World School since 2014, the first private IB school in Cusco and the region. 5,000 m² campus in Cachimayo combines natural landscapes with modern facilities: bright classrooms with Wi‑Fi, a well‑equipped science laboratory, two plastic arts rooms, a Center of Resources library, an amphitheater, gardens, and dedicated study and reading spaces. Extracurriculars emphasize sport and teamwork, with interschool competitions and Cambridge Center involvement.
