Colegio Altair was founded in 1995. In 2000 the Cultural Building was constructed, and in 2005 Altair was authorised by the IB to deliver the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme; in 2007 it was authorised for the Primary Years Programme. The Coliseum was constructed in 2006. Altair joined Inspired in 2017 and the school acquired a new campus in 2019, with the 2022 inauguration of a campus featuring green areas.

Colégio Altair is a bilingual day school in La Molina, Lima, serving students from age 2 to 18. It delivers the International Baccalaureate across Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes. In Primary School, about 80% of classes are taught in English, with inquiry-based learning that develops the whole child. The curriculum integrates daily Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Education, Information Technology, and Library, while English-taught subjects support language development. Cambridge accreditation enables international exams as students progress to secondary school. A PYP Exhibition provides a capstone for student work. Inspired membership since 2017 followed by a campus in 2019, and the 2022 inauguration of a campus with green areas. Facilities include Cultural Building with two libraries, a science lab, two computer labs, a coliseum, and spaces for music, dance, theatre, and psycho-pedagogical support. The school offers sports and arts program, a four-house system, and clubs that support international education.
