Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Admissions Process (Old/Returning Students): The enrollment procedure begins with an Inquiry Stage where BIS staff answer inquiries and address concerns. Parents can engage in onsite enrollment or reach out online via email, phone, or text. This initial stage is designed to provide clarity on programs, schedules, and any immediate questions about the application.
Step 2: Payment Assessment Stage. BIS will send the available tuition fee payment schemes, and parents select one: Monthly, Trimestral, Semi-annual, or Annual. A hard copy of the payment scheme is given for onsite enrollment, while an online enrollment recipient receives a soft PDF copy. There is a Php 5,000 discount for the Annual Payment Scheme, and any previously settled Early Bird and Reservation Fees are deductible from the first payment.
Step 3: Payment Stage. Onsite payments can be made with cash, card, or cheque. Online payments can be made via METROBANK (with a specific BIS account), BANCO DE ORO (BDO), or PAYPAL, and a transaction slip must be sent to BIS by email. This step ensures the payment is registered before proceeding with enrollment documents.
Step 4: Submit the Signed Admission and Tuition Fee Agreement Form. Onsite enrollees submit the hard copy to the enrollment officer for photocopying and filing, keeping the original. Online enrollees send a scanned or photographed copy to BIS with the subject line “Signed Tuition Fee Agreement Form.”
Step 5: Reenrollment Form and Other School Documents (AY 2021-2022). Reenrollment forms and accompanying documents are provided in hard copy onsite or as soft copies online. All required documents are to be submitted by the stated deadline (August 3, 2021).
Step 6: Documents Sent by Email. BIS will email Distance Learning Program Guidelines, the School Manual, Class Schedule, Academic Calendar, and Nurse's Note after the enrollment steps are completed. These materials accompany the enrollment package and help families prepare for the current academic year.
Admissions Process (Foreign Citizens): The enrollment path for foreign citizens follows a similar inquiry process, with an explicit Admission Evaluation step. Parents are asked to submit the Original Copy of the latest Form 138 authenticated by the Embassy, a Certified True Copy of Form 137 authenticated by the Embassy, Certificate of Good Moral, and two copies of Form 3 (Confidential Recommendation Form) plus Form 4 (Developmental Information Sheet). Additional documents include a copy of the original birth certificate (with English translation), photocopies of passport and visa, photocopies of parent's passport and visa, and a Notarized Affidavit of Guardianship if applicable. Forms 3 and 4 can be downloaded or requested by email.
Step 3: Payment Assessment Stage. The school will provide the various tuition schemes (Monthly, Trimestral, Semi-annual, Annual) and a hard or soft copy of the scheme depending on enrollment mode. A Php 5,000 discount on annual payment and deduction of previously settled Early Bird/Reservation Fees apply as described above.
Step 4: Payment Stage. Payment methods mirror the Old/Returning pathway: onsite payments by cash/card/cheque; online payments via the BIS MetrobANK/BDO accounts or PayPal; a transaction slip must be emailed to BIS.
Step 5: Sign the Admission and Tuition Fee Agreement (Form 2). The signed Form 2 should be scanned and emailed to BIS with the subject “Signed Tuition Fee Agreement Form.”
Step 6: Complete and Submit Additional Requirements for Evaluation. The school provides a BIS Student Admission Kit and related forms (Form 1, Form 5, Form 6, etc.) for download or hard copy. All documents for evaluation should be submitted by the indicated deadline (August 3, 2021). Forms are not applicable during the Distance Learning Program.
Step 7: Documents Sent by Email. After submission, BIS sends Distance Learning Program Guidelines, the School Manual, Class Schedule, Academic Calendar, and Nurse's Note by email.
There is no published information about a waitlist or pool system on the BIS admissions pages. The pages outline inquiry, evaluation, payment, and documentation steps but do not describe any waitlist process.
Scholarships and Fee Discounts (Tuition Aid Programs): BIS publishes several tuition aid programs. An Early Bird discount reduces total school fees by 7% for eligible applicants. There is also a Full Payment Discount of Php 5,000 for annual payments, and a Php 5,000 discount for enrolling an additional younger sibling across another BIS program. For families with three or more siblings enrolled at BIS, the discount increases to 30% off the total school fees for the 3rd and 4th child. A one-time Partner Community incentive of Php 2,500 applies as well. These discounts are subject to eligibility criteria and conditions described in the program notes.
Slot Reservation Fees: Early Bird applicants pay Php 40,000, while regular applicants pay Php 15,000 to reserve a slot. The reservation fee is non-refundable but is deductible from the school fees. The Early Bird discount can keep the discount valid until the first settlement date. Full payment discounts are not applicable to prorated fees.
Payment Terms and Refunds: The school expects payment for the full school year at enrollment unless otherwise arranged in writing. Fees are not prorated for partial trimesters. Tuition is non-refundable except in specified cases (e.g., relocation out of the region or prolonged illness requiring medical travel). The Miscellaneous and Reservation Fees are non-refundable, and there are specific refund windows for tuition. A 10% penalty per month applies to late payments.
Refund Policy and Due Dates: The policy states that refunds apply to tuition only, while miscellaneous fees are non-refundable. Specific refund windows are listed (e.g., refunds issued on certain dates) and late-payment penalties are outlined. Due dates for installments follow semi-annual, trimestral, and monthly schedules, with dates provided in the published terms.
