CIS supports leadership through a Student Council system with elected representatives in Elementary and in Middle/High School. The Student Council's core purposes are Social, Spirit, School Improvement, Service, and Fundraising. The council plans events such as Trivia, Game Days, Talent Shows, and inter-house activities, and runs ongoing initiatives like a school-wide suggestion box. The President and Vice President are elected by the entire school community.
CIS participates in ISAC, a regional inter-school sports conference featuring volleyball, basketball and soccer. ISAC seasons occur three times per school year, with hosting rotated among member schools and students billeted with host families. The ISAC program fosters teamwork and camaraderie through sport, with ongoing team practices and occasional travel. In addition to sports, the After School Activities program includes performing arts and other clubs that support physical activity and creative expression.
