Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Domuschola International School traces its beginnings to 2000, when the Second Mom Child Care Preschool opened its doors to 28 preschool children. In 2006 it opened its grade school and, in 2008, became an IB World School, the second Primary Years Programme (PYP) school in the Philippines. The Secondary Department was added in 2011, and in 2012 the school moved to a new campus in Ugong, Pasig after partnering with TAO Corp. The IB Diploma Programme was introduced with authorization granted in 2015, and in 2017 Domuschola was acquired by Courxera Holdings Corporation. In 2011, Domuschola also joined the Global Schools Foundation.

Community

The DIS community is organized around a three-house system named after Philippine species, with house activities across the school and a yearly House Cup that recognizes teamwork and school spirit. From kindergarten upward, students participate in varsity sports including basketball, volleyball, table tennis, futsal, and chess, competing in MISAA events. Student leadership and service are central to campus life through the Student Council and Service Learning, with all secondary students participating in at least one community immersion each year. Parent involvement is coordinated through the Parent Partnership, including the Parent Support Association (PSA), which organizes events, facilitates communication, and supports fundraising for school life.

Parent-Teacher Association

The Parent Partnership features the Parent Support Association (PSA), founded in the 2018–2019 school year to strengthen ties between families and the school. The PSA aims to foster a positive and inclusive school culture by organizing academic and extracurricular events, sharing ideas to improve school life, and promoting transparent two-way communication between parents, faculty, and administration. It leads fundraising initiatives that enrich student experiences and support school-wide programmes and social causes. The 2025–2026 PSA Officers include President Joyce Baliuag, Vice President & Primary Representative Janelle Sunico, Middle Years Representative Jeannie Raymond, Diploma Programme Representative Anne Santos, Toddler Programme Representative Patty De Las Peñas, and Varsity Programme Representative Trina Sebastian, among others. In addition, involvement through the PSA offers parents a meaningful voice in shaping the student experience and opportunities to volunteer at events.
