Grade School (Grades 1–7) covers Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and Filipino language arts, Chinese Language Arts, Social Studies (Araling Panlipunan), Christian Life Education, Technology and Livelihood Education, Music, and Arts, complemented by a comprehensive co‑curricular program. Junior High School (Grades 7–10) continues this integrated approach with core language offerings (English, Filipino, Chinese), Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and TLE, together with continued CLE and co‑curricular enrichment. Senior High School (Grades 11–12) uses strand‑based programs (STEM, HUMSS, ABM and GAS), detailing Grade 11 core courses (Oral Communication, General Mathematics 1, 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World, Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kultura, PE and Health 1, Chinese Language Arts 1, Introduction to Philosophy of the Human Person 1) and Applied English, plus strand‑specific subjects (Precalculus and General Chemistry 2 for STEM; Journalism and Philippine Politics and Governance for HUMSS; Fundamentals of ABM 1 and Applied Economics for ABM; various core and applied options in the GAS track; Grade 12 includes related Sciences and Arts/economics subjects and Practical Research 1–2, Entrepreneurship, etc.). Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

ICA Greenhills supports social and emotional learning (SEL) through a dedicated Guidance Office that coordinates student wellbeing with staff and families. Mental health-focused events are hosted in partnership with the Guidance Office and the ICA Parents Association (ICAPA). A session with a licensed psychiatrist was part of the school's mental health initiatives, demonstrating access to external experts. The ICA Student Life page describes activities that develop students' social and spiritual knowledge, signaling a holistic SEL approach. The school also lists a Guidance Counselor role, indicating formal access to guidance and individual support for students.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The ICA Greenhills site does not publicly disclose information about Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, including any dedicated SEN staff or programs. Admission procedures require a Student Health Record Form and Hearing and Vision Screening during the application process. A Guidance Information Sheet is part of admissions, and a recommendation from the applicant's guidance counselor is requested, reflecting general guidance processes rather than a formal SEN service. ICA lists a Guidance Counselor in its Careers section, indicating access to counseling and guidance services. There is no published SEN policy or program described on ICA's site, and the school is not described as a specialist SEN institution.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Language of instruction at ICA Greenhills is English, according to the IB World School accreditation documentation. The site does not publicly describe any dedicated EAL program or language-support services beyond this. The admissions materials note a Chinese Language Program is offered with special arrangements for applicants with no background in formal Chinese instruction, indicating language offerings embedded in the curriculum rather than a standalone EAL program. ICA's emphasis on English as the medium of instruction aligns with IB expectations for English-language delivery. For families seeking explicit EAL provision, published ICA materials do not indicate a separate EAL department.

Mental Wellbeing

ICA Greenhills prioritizes mental wellbeing through the Guidance Office and related student support structures. Mental health is addressed in school events and talks, including sessions hosted by the Guidance Office and ICAPA with a licensed psychiatrist to discuss recognizing emotional struggles and resilience. The school's announcements and the Student Life content indicate ongoing attention to social-emotional development among students. The presence of a Guidance Counselor on staff supports individual wellbeing through counseling services. Overall, mental wellbeing is integrated into school life via formal activities and accessible staff.

Safeguarding

ICA Greenhills has a formal safeguarding framework centered on the Anti-Bullying Policy, which prohibits bullying in all forms, including cyberbullying, and commits the school to eradicating bullying. The policy defines bullying and details its forms, including social, gender-based, and online abuse, with clear protocols for prevention, detection, and response. It emphasizes fair and equal treatment of incidents and the school's authority to address them on and off campus. The school supports safeguarding through staff like a Guidance Counselor and data privacy policies that regulate handling of personal information. These elements together form ICA's safeguarding approach.
Parent Experience

History

ICA Greenhills is a non-stock, non-profit elementary and secondary school owned and directed by the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (MIC). It serves mainly Chinese-Filipino female students. ICA traces its foundation to 1935–1936, when Chinese families in Binondo requested MIC to open a Catholic school for baptized children; the school moved five times across Manila (Benavidez, Azcarraga, Tayuman, Narra, Intramuros). In 1958, Jesuits building Xavier School invited MIC sisters to establish a girls' school in Greenhills, and by 1960 ICA Greenhills welcomed the pupils of ICA Intramuros, which fused with Greenhills in 1975. The institution evolved from an Anglo-Chinese School with a double curriculum (Chinese and English) to a Filipino school with the Chinese Language Arts Program in place since 1964, and it pursued PAASCU accreditation beginning in SY 1983–1984, achieving full accreditation in 1986 and multiple reaccreditations; it became an IB World School with Diploma Programme authorization in 2019, and has engaged in iPSLE benchmarking since 2011 along with language assessments such as HSK/HSKK.

Community

ICA Greenhills supports an active student life through a broad clubs program across Grade School and High School. Grade School clubs include, among others, B.I.G. Club, Fiesta Kultura, Chinese Explorers, Star Scouts, Quilling, Book Lovers Club and Swimming Club. ICA's school community is further enriched by active alumnae and parent involvement, and parents participate in events and talks coordinated by the Guidance Office and the ICA Parent Auxiliary. The ICA Alumnae Association (ICAAA) connects former students with the school, and the ICAPA (Parent Auxiliary) works to foster parent education and engagement.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

ICA's parent involvement is organized through the ICA Parent Auxiliary (ICAPA), which collaborates with the Guidance Office to support student welfare and parent education. ICAPA hosts regular parent talks and education sessions throughout the year, including sessions presented alongside the Guidance Office and the ICA alumni network; an example from 2025 highlights a parent talk on mental health and resilience, organized by ICAPA in cooperation with the Guidance Office (Miss Perfectly Fine – or Is She?). Recorded Grade School and High School Parent Orientation sessions are posted for parents to review, and ICAPA activities are cited alongside events such as Parent Talks and Orientation recordings. The ICA Alumni Association (ICAAA) also engages parents and alumni in school programs, volunteering and fundraising efforts that support ICA's activities.
