Saint Jude Catholic School was founded in 1963 by Fr. Peter Tsao, SVD, and Fr. Peter Yang, SVD, and began operations in July 1963 with 192 students across six classes. The school, established as a mission of the Society of the Divine Word in Manila, expanded from kindergarten and Grade 1 to a full K-12 institution, with junior high added by 1969 and full secondary by 1972. Today the school has more than 200 staff and about 3,100 students. It is run by the Philippine Central Province of the Society of the Divine Word, and it emphasizes English and Chinese language education as equally important, with Chinese designated as a required subject in daily instruction. The school also offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) as part of its pre-university options.
Service Units on campus organize community life, including Campus Ministry, Community Development, Guidance and Admissions, ICT, Learning Resource Center, Medical Clinic, Prefect of Discipline, External Relations, Registrar, and Student Activities. Community and cultural events have long been a part of school life, including Teacher's Day celebrations (first held in 1967) and the school fair Playland 67 (1967). Alumni engagement is evident through events such as the Grand Alumni Homecoming. The Kalinangan Festival 2011 and various alumni activities illustrate a connected Judenite community.
The Saint Jude Catholic School Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) was formed on September 26, 1965, and its first officers were elected that year. The PTA participated in major milestones, including the 16th foundation anniversary in 1978, when the fire safety zone and multi‑purpose building were inaugurated, and PTA representatives graced the occasion. The school's early years also featured events such as the first Teacher's Day Celebration (1967) and the first school fair, Playland 67, which reflect a lively school community. Alumni activities, such as the Grand Alumni Homecoming (1997), show ongoing engagement with families and graduates. The PTA's formation and presence in these milestones reflect a long‑standing partnership between parents and the school.
