Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Westfields International School began as a small preschool in Angeles City, Pampanga, founded by Ms. Pinky Narciso. With further building developments, the school's academic offerings grew from Preschool to High School in 2004. By 2014, the school was formally accepted globally as a Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) school. Westfields joined the International Schools Association, and the school now serves about 600 students. Leadership includes Valerie Nepomuceno Antonio (President), Ma. Myla S. Diano (Chief Operations Officer), and Paulo O.J. Fuller (Academic Chancellor).

Community

The Westfields community draws students from multiple nationalities, including Filipino, American, British, Korean, Chinese, German, and French, with about 600 students enrolled. The school emphasizes a holistic, caring culture, encapsulated by the principle that the level of care is as important as the level of academics. The community participates in a range of activities and events, including Model United Nations for Grades 7–12, as well as music and arts programs, sports like soccer, ESL, ukulele, and basketball. In 2025, Westfields hosted a University & Education Fair to connect students with higher education opportunities. Parental involvement is actively encouraged as part of the learning journey.

Parent-Teacher Association

The PTA Officers for SY 2025–2026 were newly elected, with Jamie Sugay as President, Annie Dadios as Vice President, Camille Milchiker as Secretary, Joy David and Lisa Kim as Treasurers, and PRO roles for High School, Primary, Early Years, and a Korean PRO group. The PTA includes specific PROs for High School (e.g., Jen Soliman, Dev Villanueva, Gemma Mangan), Primary (Kate Pingol, Yvonne Espina, Janey Barzandeh), Early Years (Mel Cho, Regine Holtsoi), and Korean PRO (Michelle Cha, Tina Choi). The PTA works with teachers and school leadership to plan events, workshops, and wellbeing initiatives, reflecting a strong parent–school partnership. Parental involvement is framed as an integral part of Westfields' educational journey, and the PTA actively engages parents in school activities and communications. The PTA's activity and leadership updates are shared publicly through local listings and school communications, indicating ongoing collaboration with the school community.
