The International American School of Warsaw is a KG–12 school offering International and American diploma options. The permanent facility is a two-building complex in the Ursynów District of Warsaw. IAS serves 40+ nationalities with small classes and a 7:1 student‑teacher ratio; the average class size is 18. English-language instruction is primary, with Polish, French and Spanish also offered. Classrooms are fully equipped with modern technology and IAS provides door-to-door transport across Warsaw. IAS is triple-accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization, Cognia, and the Polish Ministry of Education, and offers three diploma pathways: IB Diploma Programme, American High School Diploma, and Polish Matura.
IAS uses the state-of-the-art SGGW sport facilities for PE classes, located about five minutes away by car. The facility supports football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, indoor hockey, and handball; the gym includes gymnastics mattresses, a jumping box, and a pommel horse. Swimming lessons are held at the SGGW swimming pool and Aqua Relaks center (USCIR pool) for PreKG to 6th grade, taught by two teachers with lifeguards on duty. IAS has football and basketball teams that train and compete with other public and private international schools in Warsaw and across Poland.
Our library provides a circulating collection of over 35,000 English editions, with both physical materials and digital options. The collection includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, English books and reference materials, English and Polish texts, and resources across subjects such as geography, history, science, mathematics and languages. Computers and internet access support research and learning, and loaner books are issued at the start of each school year. English as an Additional Language (EAL) support is available, and IAS offers three diploma pathways: IB, American Diploma, and Polish Matura.
A range of extracurricular activities is offered, with a documented list for 2023/2024. The IAS Times is the official student newspaper, providing a platform for student voice and publishing.
