Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The School Improvement Program focuses on socialization and multicultural awareness. It supports students with special academic and behavioral needs. A peer-tutoring program and peer mediation help with collaboration and conflict resolution; a structured behavior modification plan is used when needed. Psychological counseling services are available, and the pastoral approach includes a social-emotional curriculum and ongoing support from homeroom staff. Student leadership is encouraged through the Student Council and a range of extracurricular activities.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Diversity in learning is a strength. A team including a pedagogue, psychologist, pedagogical therapist, and speech therapist works with classroom teachers to identify and support students with additional needs. If needed, the school coordinates referrals to the local Poradnia Psychologiczno-Pedagogiczna. Students with formal assessments receive an IPET (individualized educational plan) and may benefit from co-teaching in the classroom. We also run dedicated EAL and PAL programs to support language development.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is the primary language of instruction. Polish Language and Literature is studied, and students can choose French or Spanish as an additional language. EAL (English as an Additional Language) support is provided for students developing English proficiency.

Mental Wellbeing

Pastoral Care includes a School Counsellor and a full-time school nurse on campus. A pastoral curriculum develops social-emotional skills, and staff monitor attendance, wellbeing, and engagement. Psychological counseling services are available to students. Peer mediation and conflict resolution programs support positive social interactions.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding and Child Protection policies prioritize safety and wellbeing. Policies comply with Polish law and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. All staff, interns, and volunteers undergo criminal record and background checks. Clear professional relationship standards and training support safeguarding across the school.
