Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The Non-Public General Educational Complex of the University of Kazimierz Wielki was formed on March 2, 2009 and is located at 3 Bośniacka Street, Bydgoszcz. The complex comprises a Private Primary School, Private Middle School, Private High School, and Private Pre-School (from age 5). Initially the school served children of NATO personnel stationed in Bydgoszcz; in September 2010 it opened to local children. The language of instruction is English. The school aims to foster independence, creativity and responsibility in students who participate in social, environmental and cultural life, and to cultivate compassionate adults who value national heritage and global citizenship.

Community

The school is multicultural with 26 nationalities; pupils are encouraged to be internationally-minded and to care for others and the planet. Class sizes are small (max 15), with resources including online tools such as Mathletics, Educationcity and Spellodrome. Class Dojo is used to facilitate parent communication and positive behaviour. ISoB offers classes from kindergarten through the IB Diploma.

Parent-Teacher Association

The Parents' Council (PC) works with ISoB administration to facilitate information exchange and represent parent interests. Any parent of a current student is a PC member, with election rules set by the parents. The PC may participate in meetings on school matters when invited and may request meetings with the Principal or Programme Council. It may submit proposals concerning the organization of the school's work, education and care, and may present conclusions to the Teaching Staff Meeting and the Principal. The annual contribution is 150 PLN per child, due by 30 September, with payments by bank transfer to Millennium Bank. The page lists the 2025-2026 School Parents' Council and Class Parents' Councils by grade.
