Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Mother Tongue Support promotes multilingualism and helps students maintain fluency in their native languages while celebrating home cultures, supporting self-esteem and belonging. The Nurse provides health-related resources, with attached documents on healthy eating, allergy information, and first aid, to support pupil wellbeing.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

A Special Educational Needs component is part of ISoB's strategy to promote inclusive and effective learning for all students. All teachers aim to provide a broad, balanced, relevant and challenging curriculum tailored to individual abilities.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is the language of instruction throughout the school, and English as a Second Language support is offered to students with limited English to access the mainstream curriculum.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing is supported by the on-site nurse and by student support services.

Safeguarding

The school has a legal duty of care for the health, safety, security and wellbeing of all pupils and staff, and safeguarding is a core responsibility.
